What happens if I leave a 4G area being on MetroPCS?

Thinking of dropping my contract and going with MetroPCS and getting a 4G phone like the Indulge or the new Esteem coming out. Now I heard Metro DOESN'T have 3G so if I'm out of a 4G area, what happens then? Is Metro good and better than Virgin Mobile???

What will happen is you will drop to whatever that area you are in is pushing out from MetroPCS. Most markets are only doing a lousy 1x, which is horrible. The price you pay for being with them. Now however there has been some markets out there that have 3G with Metro. Not many areas have them. So in a nutshell if you leave a 4G area you will more than likely drop down to a crawl of 1x.

Oh damn that is horrible. Do you know if I can see where MetroPCS has 3G coverage???

The only way to find out is to look at the Samsung Galaxy Indulge thread, or the LG Optimus M thread. There are discussions there with what markets have seen 3G. There are a couple in Florida. Orlando area and Jacksonville. I'm in the West Palm area and it's 4G or 1x..stinks...
