Hi All- I rooted my phone successfully a few months ago and everything was fine. I use the Moto Droid and sooooo desperately wanted the 2.2 update and found a link to download the update and install it. However, the 2.2 update was unsuccessful and my phone constantly forced closed and took forever to do anything. I have learned my lesson and am now using a new moto. droid while waiting patiently for the 2.2 official release.

However, all my videos, pics, music, etc. is on my old SD card. If I put that SD card into my new phone am I going to install the 2.2 update that screwed it up in the first place? Will it re-root my phone? Please let me know asap! Thanks!!

Putting the old SD card into the new phone won't do anything. It's just storage. It won't affect any programs, or your Android OS in any way.
