People keep asking in threads about if video chat works. What are you guys talking about? Is this Google Talk or something else? And how do you get Google Talk anyway, its not in market?

    Thanks!

dont u have google talk by default, on ur first homescreen, and in ur app drawer :D its called Talk. and yes, android 2.3.4 is supposed to come with a major upgrade to talk, that includes video chat, meaning u can video chat with people on computers using gmail, or other androids. a test firmware (KG1/2/3) had the video call feature, which i really liked, it worked great.. unfortunately, the new official firmware KG5 removed it, and the latest (test) firmware also doesnt include it. quite frustrating

I don't see, to have it, does every GS2 come with it? I'm with Bell Canada. Maybe I accidentally deleted it when removing some bloatware.

    Thanks for the help!

I have an SGSII and 2.3.4 (official Brazil model). It's one of the first (aside from the Poland version) to get official 2.3.4.

Sadly, GTalk Video is NOT included in the build. You can, however, download a 1.2mb .apk from the net to enable video. Easy.

I dont get it, cant you just use Skype on your android for video calls?

What is this whole HURRAH about? Is gVideo any better and superior than Skype?

    Video quality, voice? Better compression?

No the bell version just has regular Google chat. Not the video version. If you are rooted you can install a hacked version with video :)
