What is dual boot?

I've been doing reading and wondering about what exactly it was.
I heard something about android and apple dual boot?

Just means the device would have both the Android OS and iPhone OS loaded on it and the user would be able to boot to either.

there's a video floating around showing an iPhone that they have a dual boot on to let them use Android. it works but only the very basic phone functions.

but why would Apple or Android want a phone that can do this

why not? i think it'd be pretty cool!!

i believe it's more of a hack than anything though. i saw it on a couple of youtube videos on the old iphone.

oh trust me... Apple would NOT want it.. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Steve Jobs at some point adds code to the iPhone hardware to eat itself if Android is loaded..
