I've had my Magic for about a month now, but still I haven't found out:
What is that thingy to the left of the earpiece? I know that the thing on the right side is an LED light, but the manual says nothing about the other side!

It's suppose to be a light sensor but I believe it is not functional and merely their for cosmetic purposes :)

it's not a light sensor, i checked. It's not a proximity sensor either, so maybe you were right, it's only there for the looks.

How does it work...and what software do we need to use it? Are there any programs on Market that utilise it?
