Quick Office doesn't support Office 2007 docs, if that's what you are using (although the new Android 2.1 leak for Eris mentions something about Office 2007 support, which is interesting). Other than that, it's just a viewer.

Oh so I would have to download docs from my PC to the phone and then just use that to call them up and view them?

Yup. Or use something like SugarSync to sync your PC and the Inc - then you can download and view docs on demand.

Quick Office is prety limited, although they appear to be working on a more feature-rich offering. If you want to be able to work with Office 2007 docs, Documents to Go is a good app. They also offer a paid version that lets you create docs.
