The message 'what is preparing jamphone' comes on startup - anyone know what it is?Do I need to worry?
First of all welcome to AndroidForums, Gertie! From what I can gather JamPhone is an internet phone service. I don't know how it works or how legit it is. What device are you seeing this on? Is it new? Has it always done that? If not, have you installed something recently (maybe it was installed in the background)?
Thank you for the reply. It is this - a Star N8000 - apparently a Galaxy clone, runing ICS. It is new and I haven't had it very long and I didn't notice when it started appearing or if I had added any new apps just before. Just another bewildering thing .....!!! (adding to how much more complex managing contacts, texting, and making calls all are ,compared to all my previous phones!)
I have the same phone and mine does the same thing on start up it always has so no worries on that. I am trying to root mine and not having as much as I would like did you root yours?
