I am new to the andriod line of phones and downloading apps and stuff. I see there is opera mini...dolphin browser...and then of course the regular browser that came on the phone. Is there really a big difference between using the regular browser or one of the other ones? Let me know. Thanks!

It's mostly a personal preference. I use Opera Mini because I was used to it on my BB. A lot people swear by Dolphin while just as many swear by the stock browser.

It's all in what you like

Right now I have stock, dolphinHD, opera, and skyfire installed. Just to test them out. I love skyfire the best so far. They are all similar but skyfire has a button to change the user agent between Android, desktop, and iPhone.

I use Dolphine HD and XScope, both are awsome browsers... XScope has one finger "pinch to zoom" feature.

Dolphin hd is great but you can't turn off flash. At least the last version i had you couldn't.

Right now I'm using stockwith the flash 10.1 upgrade.

I've only used the stock one so far and am pleased. I may give the others a try one day. Never was a fan of Opera at all so I will pass on that.

I've used both Dolphin HD and Skyfire. I prefer Skyfire because of the option to choose between Desktop and Mobile webpages. I got frustrated with mobile pages loading on Dolphin.

I'm transitioning to Dolphin HD for normal use. I am keeping the old Dolphin (the last version before the dev nerfed the YouTube downloading feature) so I can use that when I want to grab a video.

There's a free version. The paid for one offers little extra functionality, its more like a donation thing.

And for people raving over different user agents, I think xScope has like 5 different ones you can change, including stuff like iPad lol.

Ok, done being a spokesperson for it.

I found Dolphin crowded, ugly, and slow. Stock for me.

(I've not tried anything else, though.)

I tried Opera mini (used to use it on my blackberry), loved it, then realized it didn't have pinch zoom (at least to my knowledge.) Now using Dolphin HD
