Just curious, I have finally gotten into overclocking my X now, and wondered what are the fastest stable speeds you have achieved with your X, what voltage you are using, and what program did you use? How does it affect your battery life?

I am currently running QuickClock Advanced and I am running a modest 1.174 ghz stable. I dropped mine below what Quickclock determined, just to start out slow.

1.17...and iits not incredibly stable...1.15 is where I can run it daily without reboots....anything over 1.175 instantly locks up my phone...

Wow, I must be lucky then. QuickClock showed mine would OC to 1305 with no problems, but I backed it down to 1275 and then with that 15% buffer QC put it at 1.174 and it has been running two days with no problems and I can tell a performance difference.

Been using QCA for sometime and found it will determine different levels when running the auto calibrate, depending on the current Rom you're running. I'm running SSX 2.2 now for the past month and the max OC it found was 1.404. I settled with the "Balanced" setting of 1.265 and it runs like a champ. In the past, when running RubiX or ICX or any other Rom, it always had quite an array of different settings. Been pleased and no issues @1.265. :D

The highest I was able to run was 1.450 GHz but the phone started to get warm after a couple of hours. I went down to 1.250 GHz and I can run it all day without any issues. I'm currently using the stock clock speeds but at a lower voltage running CM7GB, it's fast enough that it feels OC'ed.

Nice overclocking values there. I forgot to mention in my op I am still on SSM-602.3 with the R2D2 theme.

I use Android Overclock on low voltage setting @ 1.2 stable. Battery life has not changed and I like the extra speed I see on the browser and the you tube app. I am currently running a combo of Razr/Rezound but still tinker with my X every day.

I almost downloaded Quickclock, but ended up going with DroidXOverclock instead. I don't have the stress test feature, so I just used settings recommended by others in the overclock forum.

Right now I'm running 1.35GHz at ultra low voltage. When I've tried 1.4GHz, my phone will end up overheating when I've got my phone on the car charger and am listening to Pandora or Slacker. Running at 1.35, seems to be stable, so I guess I got lucky with a pretty decent processor that allows me to OC.

Talking about saving battery life, I have a question about QuickClock. When I am using say the Balanced Profile and it shows 300 mhz @ 15 VSEL for the minimum and I am using the on demand feature, then when the phone isn't doing anything it is clocking the cpu down to 300 mhz and saving battery...correct? I have a cpu mhz widget on my phone and notice that it's clocked at 300 mhz when nothing is happening.
