General What is the "HTC Desire HD A9191"?

    ..is it the same Desire Hd? What does the A9191 stand for?
    I ask because I found it here for less.. i don't know about the website though :cool:

    cnt say nethn abt the site...but d box says d fone name as DHD.. and at d back it says phone model as A9191...

    Do you mean on the "regular' DHD box it says model A9191?

    My DHD has the same A9191.

    But I heard, there is model A9192, too
    Any difference? No idea :)

    just had a chat with their sales person (I mean an online chat...), I donno, their english wasn't so great, and they say that shipping is free....

    sounds too good to be true.


    any thoughts about this company (day-buy.com)?
    has anyone dealt with them before?

    Edit:
    they only accept wire transfer....
    no visa or paypal.

    scam.

    Mine was ordered from dial-a-phone in the UK and is on the Orange network. In settings > about phone > phone identity, the model number is identified as HTC Desire HD A9191. A9191 looks like a valid HTC model number.

    Are daybuyfa.com on the level? I'm sorry, I've not a clue but if something seems to good to be true, it most often is.

    EDIT: Forget that, i was looking at the box of my Desire, no DHD.

    The A9191 has 2G and 3G connection capability. The A9292 has NextG connection capability which is much better and gives you greater coverage here in Australia. If you are only going to be in a major city however, the NextG capability may not be worth the extra $150 you tend to pay for it.

    it is such a pain to type every word in full... well the one who needed the answer understood what i meant... i cannot fathom why some people emphasize so much on it... i was in too much of a hurry i guess.. hope you understand now mate ;)

    my dhd is just over a week old... looked in system/about/setting/phone identity and it says "htc desire hd a9191" and is direct from orange

    Hi there what is the difference between HTC DESIRE HD A9191 and the normal one? Or is this version the normal one?

    Hey so basiclly both the A9191 and 9192 have quad band edge support but the A9191 was 900 and 2100 3G bands and the A9192 has North American 3G Bands 850/1900. Your Telus phone is the A9192 and Anywhere in Europe, Asia, Or Australia is the A9191.
