Sounds like a Weather Alert. You can drag the Notifications list down and read the alert message. It appears only if it is activated under Weather app settings.

What does the message say? How could you tell it is not?

No message, and when I check the the channel app, it's all clear weather. If it was weather related, where would it come from, since the only weather app I'm using is TWC?

Does anything show in the notifications screen when you drag it down? Just having a notification icon without an entry in the notification window sounds rather silly. Tried a reboot?

THAT is why I stopped using TWC. "ALERT! There might be some sprinkles today!"

The only time I watched the Weather Channel was when I lived in Florida, and it was hurricane season. Other than that, Florida weather is best described as "Don't like it? Wait 15 minutes and it will change" :)

Yeah I got rid of TWC app. Came locked onto my phone, had to root to get rid of it.
