Help What is this ?

I took the back off my Nexus 5 and was wondering what the silver band in the bottom left is please.
Also,is the wire on the left hand side an antenna of some sort ?.

The image seems to be broken.

An antenna is more likely to look like a metal strip than a wire. If you hunt up the FCC report you can find out where the antennae are.

Trying to get the photo to work,

I've done a bit of research and i believe the metal band is the speaker/ringer and the wire is indeed the antenna,1 of 2.
After i removed the back cover i then scraped away the glue/foam from the speaker/ringer and accidently pulled the top of the antenna from its seating.As soon as i did 1 or both of these things,hey presto my signal went up and even without needing to reconnect the top of the antenna my signal has been far better since.
