I'm in Austin, TX and I've gotten speeds anywhere from 3mbps to 17mbps. Is it normal to have such variation in speeds just driving around town, and what is considered fast on LTE? Even standing in one spot, I've had speeds ranging from 3mpbs to 9mbps, and a couple of network errors in between. My average in my apartment is around 13mbps.

Note: This is using the app from Speedtest.net (not sure if there's a better one).

I've gotten 9M down and 1M up in my basement with 1-2 bars. I've gotten as high as 32M down and 15 up. This is in Milwaukee, WI.

From <1Mbps down to 12Mbps down. It is so inconsistent and unreliable. We have verified the tower 500' from us is VZW's 4G LTE tower. It is horrible.

In my house, I was reliably getting 12 down and 6 up.

Since the leaked radio update, I'm now getting 18 down and 8 up.

beefamato, have you been in the Northcross area where Guitar Center is? I lost a signal completely in that area. I talked to a friend who has a Charge, and she had the same problem in the exact same area, but nowhere else. I haven't had any other issues either, but haven't been south of Northcross yet.

43 down, 29 up was my best result so far. Normally it's in the 35/20 range.

    If that's a fact you have a phone problem...get a new one! That's more like 3G speeds.

I logged my speeds right around the 183 and 35 intersection. I haven't tested it in the Northcross area.

At home, on average 15 down, 10 up during evening. 25-31 up, 15-25 up after midnight. Out and about - 0 to 25 up and down. Got the same kind of results with my Bionic.

I don't remember the numbers, but it buried the needle on the speed test app.
