What phone? And do I have to switch plans?

My Droid X is kaput and I need to replace it. I want to buy something outright so I don't have to change my plan or lengthn my contract as I'm looking to change. I'm thinking maybe a Bionic or Incredible but not sure. What are your thoughts?

Also, as far as the plans go, I'm currently on an unlimited data plan. If I upgrade to a 4G phone will that have to be changed?

If you buy your phone outright you will not have to change your plan, makes no difference if you are going from 3G to 4G. I recently went from a Droid 3 (3G) to a Droid 4 (4G) without changing anything.

I recommend the Motorola DROID RAZR M. A slim, light wonderful phone. Best Android I ever used.

Considering it sounds like you don't want to pay full retail for a new phone, but are looking at 4G, I would look at the Rezound or the Bionic personally.
