I am still considering the incredible and I was wondering if and how my apps and contacts could be transfered from my eris to the incredible?

I apologize if this question had an obvious answer, I am fairly new to Android.

    Thank you in advance,

    Miranda

If you synced your contacts to gmail, they'll sync over when you login to the Incredible.

Did you sign up for a gmail account when you got your Eris?

You'll need to go into your phone settings, go to "Accounts and Sync" or something like that, hit the sync button. I think that's how it's done.

Also, apps won't transfer over. For any paid apps, they are tied to your gmail account. You'll need to use the same one on your new phone, when you go to the market and look at the app, it will say "Purchased" and youll be able to download it for free.

Yea, I didn't think it would "auto download" the apps. It just makes it so you don't have to pay for them again.
