General what type of screen is the eris?

    just random curiosity...i bought the phone off my friend so he didn't give me a manual or anything, so i have no idea. what type of screen is the eris? is it that AMOLED, or the LCD? hmm...

    Its a 320 x 480 LCD display. The touchscreen is capacitive.

    In my opinion though, it is a much better screen than my iPod Touch 2G. The blacks are actually pretty close to black, and the colors are more vivid.

    Thats due to the higher pixel density due to the same resoloution on a smaller screen.

    soooo, having never had the incredible, if i got the new incredible with the SLCD display, i won't notice any difference whatsoever?

    The Incredible is AMOLED so you would see a difference. I hear that AMOLED isn't as easy to see in bright sunlight. Anyone compare them?

    That shouldn't affect the black level though. Black on an iPod Touch looks more grey than anything.

    no what i'm saying is....since i've never spent time staring at the INCs AMOLED screen, and all i stare at is my Eris's lcd screen, if i went from Eris to SLCD INC, i wouldn't like, notice that the INC's screen is washed out/faded like i would if i went from AMOLED inc to SLCD inc, right?
