What widgets would you recommend?

Let me start by listing the ones that would be useless to me:

I don't get the point of weather widgets. I don't need to know the exact temperature every time I look at my phone. I just check the weather app once in the morning and I'm good for the day. The weather doesn't change that often people!

I don't need a clock widget. The time is always displayed at the top anyway, and on my phone's lock screen too along with the date.

I don't use any alarm clocks.

I don't use the calendar for anything. My days are all the same. Lol

    I don't follow any sports.

I got rid of the search widget that was running on my phone since there's a dedicated search button on thee phone (Hello !!)

I do enjoy following politics and technology news (I'm a computer programmer). Right now there's a single widget running on my phone called "Battery Indicator" because I like to know the exact percentage of power remaining rather than an graphic approximation.

So, any widget recommendations for me? Any cool widgets you enjoy that you think I might wanna try?

Someone's obviously never lived in the Midwest, lol.

    I live in the midwest.

It's warm and humid the summer, and painfully cold in the winter. I don't need a widget to tell me that. I guess I spend 99% of my time indoors so I couldn't care less about the weather. When I do go out in the weekend, I click on the weather app.

I'm in Kansas City & we have a saying "If you don't like the weather now, wait 3 hours and it'll change." It's pretty true here. Especially in the Spring & Summer during tornado season.

Anyways, I really don't want to hijack your thread. I'm interested in learning about some new widgets, as well.

Seems like you don't have the desire to use most of the widgets I was going to recommend. I would look up Mippin on the market. They have some neat nerd widgets that I use and they're good quality programs. They also have a new program called Buzz Deck. Check it out and let me know what you think. Engadget also has a widget but I have had really mixed luck with it so far.

I downloaded Buzz Deck. Thanks a lot for the recommendation. I'm keeping it. I'm not sure why I would use its widget though. I launch the full app to see all my "cards".

It's a great app nevertheless. I'd be willing to pay for it.

If you don't want all the feeds that are in Buzz Deck, Mippin also makes Tech Buzz, which is just tech news. You can even set it to show either Android news, Gaming news, Mobile news, or Tech news in general.
