Whats App media file wont download in a chat thread

Hi,

I have a video file missing from within a whats app chat thread. I found the video on another phone and dropped it into the what's app video folder with the android directory on the phone. it shows in there, but back in the chat thread, the video won't play. Says it cant download

Is there any way to restore the video to play within the chat thread?

I would like it in its orginal time and date which is back in August

yeah not much you can do. there is no setting or code that will make a video in a chat work again.
