What's the best GSM Android out right now?

Simple question. Is it the G2X? Which has a superb screen like the iPhone 4? I'm considering making the switch to Android..:)
Also, do Androids get updates often like the iPhone or other iDevices? What media/music player do you use? Is it as good as Apple's? Can Androids sync with iTunes, or do you really have to drag and drop? How easy and fast is it to use the interface? Is the market different for each phone, or is the interface the same? What do you think of the G2X? Is it good enough or is it better to wait for a better one?

Simple question.
It is a simple question but for some reason people posting the question seem to rarely include their needs/wants. Best is highly subjective no matter what the topic is. We can't tell you what's best for you without any information on you. Tell us what you need/want and we can make meaningful recommendations. If you want blind recommendations there are plenty of existing threads that you can read.

What carrier? What countries or what bands? Budget? What are your must haves? What doesn't matter? You won't get useful information back unless you give some useful information to work with.

All we know right now is "GSM" and that you like the IP4's retina screen. That's not much to work with.

Depends on the specific device. The Android source has to be adapted to each device.

Spend some time in the Applications subforum. Good is also a highly subjective word. If you really like Apple's media player then be specific about what you do like and what you don't like when asking for assistance in looking for an Android equivalent. Do not assume that your preferences are universal. What's "good" to you may not be to the next and vice-versa.

Is it good enough or is it better to wait for a better one?
Please see every other thread that asks the "Should I wait?" question. Whether you wait or not is your call to make which, again, depends on your criteria.
