Can anyone give advise on the best way to store Word and PDF (or any file for that matter) on the phone. I'd like to be able to have a folder with files I can access and email..

I suppose I could put the files on a Gmail and then forward. i'm hoping there is an easier solution.

    Thanks.

I like Google Docs for storing files that I want to access anywhere. If you don't want to use that, though, you can just drag and drop files onto the phone via USB link.

I don't think so. I just bookmarked it in my browser. Would be nice if they created one. Wonder why they haven't already, seems like they have one for everything else

Also, I've tried the drag and drop method but don't know how to get the files to the folder I created on my homescreen.

I can view in ASTRO but the files are lumped in with a bunch of junk..

    Sorry for the newbie questions...

Yeah, created a folder in the homescreen. I'd like to have all the docs I frequently email there for access.

When I connect to my computer, I can't see the folder. you would think it would be there somewhere...

I'm going to put some time into this later, I'll post what I come up with.

Love the flexibility of this droid but they should do make things very unintuitive...

I'd like to know this too.

I prefer keeping documents in the cloud, but I would like to be able to pull a file from the cloud and transfer it to a pc that doesn't have internet. I won't using my phone as an iPod, so it would be good to make that 16 GB useful

I use Sugarsync. It syncs my documents on my pc with their servers online and I can download them to my Droid with their mobile app.

To email the files I use Documents to Go. It supports attachments with the Gmail app.

If you decide to use Sugarsync; I'd appreciate it if you used this link as it would give me a little more extra storage.
