Hmmm... just wondering what you all think about the weather apps...
WeatherBug Elite.....Because I say so!
I like it for its accuracy, look/feel and radar. The alerts can be turned on and off to conserve battery and the widgets are nice too.
+2. I have it and Weather Channel. LOVE Weatherbug. Alerts are better and the radar maps rock.
any apps tell me that i wont get another predicted 1'-2' Wednesday after i just got 3' this weekend?
Yep. It's called "Get the hell outta there" app...
Another vote for Weatherbug. Reasonably accurate forcasts and a nice UI.
+1. WeatherBug Elite was the first app I actually paid for on Android. Love it.
I just downloaded Weatherbug elite and really like it. Question, and be patient as I'm very new to this--is it possible to replace the weather icon and data on the home screen with the data from Weatherbug?
The Accuweather app is pretty nice also. I have both weatherbug and the Accuweather apps installed
weatherbug has an HTC (or is it android) widget.
its pretty cool also
just add the widget for it.
How about it two big snows in three days. I cant use mine its already under the first three feet we got on sat.
Im there with you
just d/l'd weathbug elite, ill try it for a while.
im with caddy..just d/'d ill see how it runs.
i currently use weather widget donate and beautiful widgets, and they get the job done!
I have been using weather channel just because i like it. Gonna check out weather bug and see what all fuss is about
I had Weatherbug for awhile, but my widget didn't update very much. My Weather Channel app has been spot on every time I wake up my phone. I did like the look and size of the WB widget though, but I'm sticking with TWC.
Another vote for WeatherBug Elite. When I'm on my computer, I'm big time into weather patterns and keep on top of the doppler radar. WB-E allows me to view the "map in motion" on my Eris and that makes me VERY happy. It was the very first (and only one of two) app that I paid for and am glad I did.
Radar Now is a good app for simple, animated radar. It's straight from the National Weather Service.
I see Weatherbug has had some bug fixes. I may give it another go. I see you can set it up to update every 15 minutes. Will a severe notification push through right away, or wait until the next update period?
I'm using Weather Bug now and it's pretty cool. You guys should at least give it a try. Only complaint is the Widget is a decent size, but the text manages to be cramped. Or maybe my location, "Burr Ridge" is too big for it. I dunno. But it's good and better than the Sense one.
I use the weather channel app, but I may have to give wb another go on my phone.
WB free here. Rainy Days for radar. Wunder for Weather Underground local stations. I.wund.com for browser weather. Moon Phases widget for moon phases.
I think Weatherbug is just about the best one. The only problem is the battery drain. I'm waiting until I get my new batteries from overseas.
I was using weatherbug but i kept having problems with it force closing on me. I just recently uninstalled it and am now using the weather channel app. So far so good, but the constant severe weather alerts are getting annoying. "Ding Ding"...I know, I know...another 8 - 12 " inches..."Ding Ding" ugh...
Weather Widget donate along with forecast addon. Can set update times, skins. BTW, skins are saved on the sd card.
I need one that says the 30" we got on Saturday is going to magically evaporate before the next 10"-20" arrives!
