I rooted my LG Optimus V that faithfully served me for a year and a half with help from this forum. I managed to drop my V someplace, so I now have an excuse to upgrade :congrats: I've got an HTC EVO 4G (for Virgin mobile) on the way Now here leads to my question. When I bought my LG Optimus V, Android OS 2.2 was the latest version. This EVO comes with the next best dessert treat, Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 But when I go through the guides here on this board, it includes root guides for Gingerbread 2.3 and 2.3.5 and Froyo (which is new to me) 2.2, but no root guide for Ice Cream Sandwich. Why is this? and thanks Ack ... and secondly, I just read this: Virgin mobile USA is owned by Sprint Nextel, so I use their network if I'm not mistaken. In the specs of the HTC EVO, it lists: Does this mean that the EVO won't be able to use 4G once Sprint switches to LTE? Would this stop 3G data connections too?
