1. Are you ready for the Galaxy S20? Here is everything we know so far!

What's up with this thing?

I'm not sure if Files to SD Card is actually working. I keep trying to move or at least copy screenshots (and some other files) to sd, but apparently they're still in emulated. It says files have not been moved. Meanwhile internal storage is just about full, despite my efforts to get rid of unwanted apps, clear caches, etc. Would rooting help? I'm not sure if I can.

I'm not familiar with Files to SD, but Solid Explorer is a fantastic file manager. Rotating the phone into landscape mode will open up two panes in Solid: navigate one pane to your file location and the other pane to the location you want it. Long press a file to select it, then tap to select as many other files as you need, tap the arrow, select COPY or MOVE and it's done.

They've not been moved .. Have they been copied to the µSD? If so, just delete the copies in ROM, obviously backing them up to something first. If you're unsure if the stock file manager is giving you good stuff, i.e., cached names and the such, download another and check. I use one named "X-plore" which I like, but those sorts of things are personal taste, Simple Mobile Tools has a perfectly adequate file manager and since it's SMT's you know it's ad free.

I do have X, and it is finally showing up as being larger than 0. The bad news is that there was some trouble parsing the package, whatever that means. I do not know how to fix it.

It seems to be working, in a way. I guess it has moved some files, but now it says transmission stopped, and that some of the files are 0 B. Would hooking it up to a computer help (Windows and it's semipublic)?

We are glad you have that situated..

Yes sometimes the moving only works one by one..specially if there's a corrupted file..I had that happened once..but that gave me a big headache..and the only way deleting it was plugging the device into the computer..
