I have a Galaxy S7, Verizon. I think I was tricked into doing something with visual voice mail. Don't want, don't need. Anyway, for whatever reason, when I get a call while on the phone it notifies every second instead of twice per 6 rings as it used to be. The person on the other line can't make out what you are saying. Also, the person calling isn't notified that I'm on the other line like it used to. I can not find any settings in the phone to adjust. Any ideas?

The way the system is set up, if you get a call while on another call you have the option of very quickly (one tap) sending a text message to the new caller that can be pre-customized into several different variations. This will automatically let the 2nd caller know the situation as well as it will disconnect once you send the message. Alternatively by tapping on the 2nd caller you can switch, hold and merge etc. but I am sure you know that.

Thanks. How do I turn it off? I don't like it at all.

Open the phone app, and go to Settings/ More settings/Call waiting and then turn the slider to off.
