My battery life, on a day of hard use is about 20% by the end of the day. Which is about 16 hours use.

Do you get better (or worse) levels?

    worse.

What are your settings? I'm curious to see how close ours are.

I have Facebook and Twitter update every 30 minutes; weather constantly updating, Location settings on all day (not GPS though); Gmail automatically updating, Exchange Server syncing as items arrive and very light usage as far as phone/browsing goes.

I can get around 12-13 hours until it is a dead battery.

I only switch on GPS blutooth Wifi and mobile network internet when I need it (made easy by putting toggle shortcuts on the homescreen), For facebook, refresh time is every 4hours, and I just click refresh if I happen to be using it also I don't use twitter.
I use advanced task manager free to kill applications running in the background. I also have switched off "enable always-on mobile" and some other minor tweaks I found online that help improve battery life.

I keep my homescreens simple, I use 4. The front page has my option toggle shortcuts, the weather/clock widget, and messages/people/mail/browser.
One screen has my bookmarks, the other has phone built in widgets I use, and another page has my main andriod apps.

I do wish battery life was better on the phone but with some tweaks and clever usage, the phone can last you at least a day. I wish I didn't have to be so careful though. Would be nice to have more efficient power consumption.

I recharge mine evey night, but it's down to about 20-30% usually. But then I'm still at the honeymoon stage where I treat it like my favourite toy. When I settle down and realise its "just a damn phone" (my girlfriends eyes say this every time I show her a new application) I'll prob get 2 days or so out of it.

Thanks for the info, I currently use taskpanel X (ditched advanced task manager free), which does a really good well, I'll try out the auto task killer app.

Me too, I've only had the phone around 5 days or so, and I can't stop fiddling with it. Probably why I find the battery life going so fast!

After a full day, it's rare for my battery to be below 50%. I have a Euro Hero in the US, so I have 3G turned off at all times. I also keep BT turned off nearly all the time as well. I use Locale to manage my Wifi settings (it's only on when I'm home).

I probably don't use my Hero quite as much as the rest of you. I use the phone for maybe a total of 45 minutes in a day, browse the web a little (to check phandroid etc), post facebook stati, Google Maps + GPS, and fiddling with a few games.

Thats really good, yeah it all depends on how much you use it, at the moment im always fiddling around with it, im sure eventually I'll be using it less once the novelty wears off.

About 40% - I don't have the widgets auto-updating as most of the day I'm in a building that gets no signal on the phone. Then I'm on the underground, which gives me...yep, no signal. But whenever I can escape into open sky I'm facebooking, tweeting, gmailling like a madman. Spotify is my other big weakness, and I'm sure that's what kills my battery.

Airplane mode helps a /lot/ if you're going to be in a location with no signal for an extended period of time - stops the phone pumping massive amounts of power into the GSM/CDMA arrays to try and find a signal.

Charge mine sometimes twice a day....its left on charge overnight then it's normally giving me the 15% warning by about 4pm...I then part charge it for an hour and that sees me through till midnight.

Instead of using airplane mode, I just have 2 toggles for mobile and wifi, which I switch on whenever I need to use the internet.

Somethings wrong with your phone, is the awake time 100%? Also get taskplanel, use that to kill apps, and switch off wifi and mobile data when your not using it (toggle switches make it easy). The phone should last you a whole day at least!

Quazar - I use those two as well, but I'm talking about when you're in a location with no signal (such as the underground train system in London), the phone will still attempt to locate a cell base station, and if it can't it'll sit there with its radio array on full power, wasting battery life. Hence, I turn it all off underground, and just use it for games/spotify.

About 20% at the end of the day... I usually charge the battery when it is between 20% and 10%.

haha, the novelty will wear off eventually.

Same for me, seems to be just about enough, would be nice to have a better battery though.

Seems inconvenient, maybe a blackberry would have been better if you intended it for such heavy use for business, wouldn't you need a keyboard? ;)

My battery lasts about 2 days...

    I have 2G only enabled.
Disable Wi-Fi when not in use.
GPS switched off when not in use.
    Location services switched off.
Advanced Task Manager set to kills background processes every hour.
    Weather set to manual update.
    Disabled Twitter.
    Disabled Facebook.
Full GMail push for contacts, calender and email.

Occasional texting and clearing notifications - maybe 4 calls a day. Often fiddling with it though.
