When I send a group txt some recipeints get it as download

Hi Guys - first post with a complex issue

Im using handcent app to send group txts (but I dont think its an handcent issue)

These are short txt based messages without pics etc

Some of the recipeints get the sms fine but others get a download link like this

I've sent you a Photo/Video Message. Go to http://www.orange.co.uk/mms/Your ID is: xxxxxxxxx Your password is: xxxxxxx Valid for 7 days

Im thinking that is the the settings on the recipients phone but the odd thing is the problem does not occur when I send the same txt to them only

It sounds like group messages are being turned into mms messages and the recipient doesn't have mms set up or a data allowance but it don't know why or a fix sorry. Maybe check the settings in handcent

Thanks Funky. I think you've nailed the issue. In default Handcent trys to thread group txts converting them to MMS. People with MMS disabled get a download link (which they ignore)
