any one know at all?
I'm a little dissapointed by how slow the updates are coming for this, up to now i have had none, not even the small ics update a lot of people seem to have had.
the asus infinity has apparently well had the jb update, not sure whats taking so long for the galaxy note
The Europe version is supposedly rolling out now. I'm sure it won't be too long for us. I just got mine today, and game play is wonderful. I'm sure when Jelly Bean rolls out to us, it will only enhance what awesomeness we already have.
Got JB OTA on my German Note 10.1 a few days ago. Pretty awesome.
arg when usa gettin itt :|
LOL, now I know why my Note 10.1 doesn't have the Google Now Tiles.... I'm still with ICS...
Thank you for this thread, made me realize that I still don't have google now... DARN!
does anyone know whats taking samsung so long? when i first got my note 10.1 i was really torn between it and the asus infinity, which got its update ages ago, jb feels like its been out for a while now i don't understand what the wait it for.
The difference is that Asus sells 1 device when Samsung sells 15 at the same time and thus needs more time to get all updates ready.
JB has been released in Germany and if you wanted to, you could install it yourself. If you want to wait, it should not take long.
can u tell me how
Download the firmware:
Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: N8000XXBLJ9_N8000OXABLJ9_DBT.zip
Then download ODIN 3.0.5 from my Dropbox:
1. Unpack both archives.
2. Open ODIN.
3. Make sure REPOARTITION is NOT checked.
4. Click PDA and choose the tar.md5 you extracted from the firmware package.
5. Press and hold Vol down+Power.
6. When it shows an Android icon with instruction follow them.
7. Connect Note to PC. ODIN will show a blue bar and COM port Note is connected to.
8. In ODIN click Start and wait.

does this root the tablet or not?
It has nothing to do with rooting. It is only a procedure to flash stock firmware.
Are updates automatic?
If it is turned on to automaticaly check, then yes, it will tell you when an update is available. Otherwise go to Settings>About device and check for updates manually.
Will the ota upgrade wipe out the root on my tablet? And if it does wipe out root, can I re-root after the upgrade?
I think it does wipe the root, not 100% though, but if so yes you can re-root.
I did not have to re-reoot after JB OTA. CWM took care of the OTA not taking root away.
if we update it ourselves now with a non rooted device will the automatic update show up or will it see that we already have JB?
It will see JB and leave you alone.
How many others here have done the OTA JB upgrade on the Note 10.1 using Szadzik's method or similar? Did it work with no glitches? Mine is brand new but I would like Google Now and some other JB features. I wouldn't want to risk anything major happening before my 15 days no question return ;-)
I hear uk is gettin jb now
I'm sure it will be soon (ish) lol
i have just checked and still nothing yet.
fingers crossed it will be soon though
Can't wait for the JB update. Hopefully it comes with the premium suite update as well.
Why wouldn't it? In Germany it did.
That's good to know. =)
Anyone from the US who already got the update?
