I know n1 has been out for a little while.. and so has snap dragon

I am considering getting the n1 june 23rdish..

One big concern I just thought about.. is when will the Nexus two release?

I mean I know something better than the 1 ghz processor is gunna come out within two years.. but, I do try to have some caution about my purchases..

I don't want apple to release iphone 4g on the 7th.. then google release nexus 1,000 june 24th.. With a 2 ghz processor..

I am not too worried about it being up to date "forever" but, I suppose I am wondering how "early" my adoption is of the n1 x.x I know its not bleeding edge anymore.. still safe to call it cutting edge though eh?

Google said their online store was a bust and gave no indications they would make a Nexus 2 in the future.

If your that scared just wait for the next big thing (Evo or beyond) to come out

The Nexus One is going to be amongst the top Android phones for quite a while still.

Currently there are the 4G ones coming out from Apple and HTC, but "4G" is mostly just marketing BS.

There's a 1.5ghz phone coming out from HTC soon, IIRC (Scorpion?), but I don't necessarily think that it's worth the price. The EVO is probably the coolest one out now, but between it and the Nexus One, it has a bigger screen, and features most people will never use (kickstand, HDMI output).

If you're a casual phone user, Nexus One FTW... unless you can get something equivalent (with Android) cheaper through your mobile provider.

Well I hope the google online store will be around till the 23rd then :(...

But, Scorpion was mostly what I was talking about..

I'm unable to get Evo.. although it is gorgeous.. I think n1 will be fine then.

And I sometimes do wonder if the recent evo comparisons I've seen don't stack too much favor in the evo.. I mean you are limited to sprint.. And sprint doesn't have great coverage in my area.. My co workers voice eco's to hell and back every time he calls me.. Plus.. it will be a looonnggg time before I see 4g.. And to be honest.. most PHONE applications will probably work just as well on 3g.. email ect ect.. I am not knocking the evo people just seem a little to anxious to claim its the "killer".

Lol seems like the only thing I have to worry about now is the nexus one even being OUT until june 23rd.. I pray the store doesn't close before then..

If I get the "OK" to get it.. I will tell them to order it asap..

Google has announced that they will still be selling the phone via retail outlets and carrier stores (though they haven't yet given any specifics) once they phase out their storefront, so I wouldn't worry about it either way.

In other news, Qualcomm announced earlier this week a dual core snapdragon. Wonder when that's going to start hitting the marketplace.

The nexus will stay as the flagship probably till next January. You have a long time to enjoy the nexus so don't worry. :)

Here's my issue with this line of thought... If you are always going to wait for the best, you are never going to get anything.

Just get it, it's worth it.

I actually agree 100% with this logic.. You will never get anything and you will never enjoy anytime on top of the game

However, it never hurts to try and make a good investment..
