Root where are custom user installed wallpapers stored?

    I love the wallpaper I have, but I lost/deleted the original image on my SD card that I used to set it. It must be stored someplace that a rooted phone would have access to to extricate.

    anyone know where?

    I'm just guessing, maybe something in /system/media ?

    nope.. checked the obvious places like that already :)

    SOLVED It: /data/data/com.android.settings/files/wallpaper

    in this, as you will have to be rooted to get to it, you will see a plain text file called wallpaper. I just copied that to my SD card, added the ".jpg" extension to it and viola... it turned into my jpg!
