    Hey folks,

I'm really enjoying my new Galaxy S.

However, I can't seem to figure out where the phone stores emails it downloads from the built-in email program.

My concern is that the phone will load up on emails and take up too much space (attachments, photos, etc.).

Anyone know how to manage this stuff?

    Thanks!

They get stored on your sdcard, under 'downloads'.

At most, you'll fill up your sdcard, not your phone :)

    Thanks for the response.

I have a "download" folder (which doesn't include emails), but no "downloadS".

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

I think the Gmail app does not download messages. Because when I have a data connection I can see my emails fines, but when I put the phone in Airplane mode I get cannot establish connection and don't get any emails.

^ Thanks, but I'm using the email program to access my Hotmail.

Still can't figure out where it's storing this stuff.

I still can't find out where this thing stores emails.

My phone has been downloading some attachments that I'm sure are eating up space, and I want to clear it all up.

    Anybody have any ideas?

I would be very interested to know about this one.

I too am using the pop/imap program built in to the phone instead of gmail to get my business email.

Problem is, a message arrives and I am notified, I open the program and there is the message. If I close the program or I read the email and then close the program the email disappears.

I have not selected delete. I have not told the application to delete the message from the server either. But every time I re-open the program the messages are gone from the inbox.

Yesterday I was sent 2 messages at different times. I got the notifications but could not read them as I was in a meeting. So later I pulled down the notification bar and clicked one of the messages. The program started and checked for messages and there was nothing.

I checked online via a PC and the messages were sat in my inbox online, marked as read. But no longer on my phone.

What is the point in an email program that will not let you read and store your emails?

    Have I done something wrong?

Well, this is from a different Android phone (Galaxy Note 10), but you might take a look if this is of any help. Of course, this also may depend on the particular program you have used to handle your email.

Anyway, get a suitable file explorer program, if you don't already have one, like Ghost Commander, or use the phone's own. Then look for a folder "Saved Email". The path could be e.g. /storage/sdcard0/Saved Email/

I know that it is a long time since the original question was asked, but someone else might still be interested.

    All the best,
