Help Where are my contacts (people)

Hello all,

I added about 20 contacts to my Moto E, now I can't find them. When I touch all people, only one contact shows up. The original email (gmail) address I used to set up my account is not there (think I deleted it), so later I entered another gmail account that is associated with my Tablet, and now my Moto E...

I just want one email account, and not receive any email downloads on my phone. I have a computer for that.

This is my first smart? phone and I'm a little befuddled...
