I used to be a Fancy Widget fan because it was free and looked good. But given its resource issues and that it's not developed anymore (I don't think?) I decided to finally give Beautiful Widgets a try.

Wow, was that overdue. Infinitely customizable, and vastly superior. Worth far more than the $2 you spend to get it. Plus it's actively-developed and the author is very resource-conscious. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
