    Hi folks -

    I'd been using 4.4.2 on a t-Mobile L90.
It had a Contacts app which I'd been using since 2.something. Intuitive.

I could easily add a Contact, see & edit my Contacts, see Call Logs & Dial, all from this one app.

Recently picked up a Nexus 5 with 4.4.4.

I see nothing called Contacts. There's an All Contacts button in the phone, but I can't figure out how to add a contact, or edit a contact to add an email address. Yes, I've tried that corner switch, but I don't see all the fields I'd expect to.

Is there a Google app that I need to use? (I'd rather keep my contacts local than put them in the cloud.)

    If there's a simple fool's guide somewhere, I'd welcome a link.

    1. Download the Forums for Android™ app!

Try the "People" app and tell us if that's what you're looking for :)

That would be what I'm looking for.
    Thanks.
(Sadly, it feels somehow less complete / immature compared to Contacts. Will take some time to get used to.)

In this day and age it's too easy to just leave things as they are/were.It's much easier to jumble everything up and give things different names but I guess that's the trouble with having kids telling adults what to do haha

Yeah they like messing with our heads... no real reason for the name change... just trying to be more friendly sounding? I dunno...

I've always just accessed contacts though the dialler app, has all I need in there.

"Contacts are people too my friends."

Yeah, it's kind of dumb. Oh well. (By the way, not meaning this post to be politically charged. Just about everyone says goofy things now and then, some more than others. This just seemed the most fitting.)

Hmm! People app has disappeared when I updated to Android L. But my contacts are still in the dialer and Go sms.
I can not remember what folder holds the contracts, can someone refresh my brain?

I am using Android L and the "People" app seems to have changed back to "Contacts". LMAO
