Just wondering where you all bought your Desire from? I'm looking to buy sim-free (as I have 6 months left on my current O2 contract)

Did you buy sim-free or from a network with a contract?

The only places I'm aware of that stock the Desire sim-free for under

Sim free has a colossal up front payment. That's the main disadvantage. Play and amazon are both flawless retailers, but on Amazon make sure you're actually buying from them, not just someone selling on there.

I got mine from Mobiles.co.uk on orange. They had a perfect deal for my needs at a good price (

I got mine free from T-Mobile, as a delayed upgrade. I was pleasantly surprised by how helpful they were all the way through the process.

I ordered mine from Orange. I threatened to leave because they were unable to give me the same kind of deals I'd seen elsewhere, so they doubled my minutes.

    600 cross net anytime minutes
    unlimited texts
    500mb data (absolutely disgusting, imho)

    How much, you ask?
