    Dear Android experts

I found my HTC Desire complaining of limited internal storage. I'd already switched everything I could to the SD card. (If only Gmail and Googlemaps could move to the SD Card).

I uninstalled a few things including the Google+ app which was huge in size.

Later found that Google+ CAN now be moved to the SD Card. So I downloaded it again. However it would not actually install, and I downloaded and tried again, also removing a couple more things, emptying caches and so on. Did manage to install it, but noticed it then claimed to be 20 something Mb, rather than the 9.7Mb it is supposed to be. So I assumed that there were several downloads sitting on the internal card side by side, and that uninstalling the app would remove all of them. Praps it did.

I then tried again to download and install, but installation failed.

So my question is, how can I get rid of the one or two downloaded copies of this app that has not installed? Are they still sitting somewhere, and is there any way to access them?

I installed the Astro file manager. But I'm not sure where to look for an app download to remove it. I've only got 16Mb left on the internal storage, though the phone isn't actually whining about this at the moment.

PS since writing the above, I managed to get Google+ to download and install. Then move it across to the SD Card. But having moved it, my internal storage went down to 3Mb, and the phone said storage is low. Closing the phone and switching on again put the internal storage up to 12Mb.

Thanks for any advice on this, or making the best of internal storage space.

    Best wishes
