I have a Droid 2 that is almost three weeks old.

Where are received texts? I got one while in a meeting, glanced at it and then put my phone to sleep. Later I realized that I have no texts except for those that I sent or responded to. Is there a way to get my texts back? This one was rather important.

On my old flip phone I could read all of my texts! :(

Should just be in the Text Messaging app in the app drawer. Unless you're using Google Voice, then they should be in there. All mine are there anyways, Moto Droid X on 2.2, so should be basically the same software you are using.

Thanks to both of you. I took my phone to Best Buy this afternoon. Everything is working correctly. Apparently, I did something that deleted it!

I'm still learning, and I'm sure you will be hearing from me again! ;)
