Root Where is the 3G Mobile Hotspot app at and how can I kill it?

    Running .602 rooted. Is it possible to find the 3G app and kill it? I searched for 20 minute with root explorer and cant' find it. I assume it's build in to another app? It's always running and I don't like that...:(

    I believe it is built into the Settings.apk. Don't quote me on that though.

    If you're really intent on killing it, you can edit the manifest xml and remove the launcher intents (this is how I killed it in Apex).

    You have to know how to compile and decompile apks so you can edit the manifest.xml (I'm assuming it's the framework-res.apk manifest.xml). I'm sure Fabolous will chime in with some more detail if needed.

    You could pm him and possibly get a quicker response.
