I love my Droid but really wish I had an extra USB cord for it. Any good websites that have cheap accessories? I bought a cigarette adapter but it is annoying to carry the cord back and forth.

Is there a generic cord that I can get, possibly a little longer as well?

The DROID has a standard "micro USB" port. I had so many mini USB cables and chargers around my house from all of my previous phones that I just bought mini-to-micro USB converters. Saved me lots of money. I bought em on FreeBay.

Keep in mind that most aftermarket chargers will not perform as well as the OEM ones. That's been my experience anyway.

You can get them for about a dollar each on monoprice.com

What he said. Also MAKE SURE you get micro not mini. I ordered mini by accident and now I'm stuck using my stock usb cable cuz i'm too cheap/lazy to order a micro cable again

For high-quality, inexpensive cables, try monoprice.com. They have a USB A Male to Micro 5-pin Male for the whopping total of 85 cents. They have multiple lengths, with and without ferrite cores. They also have a USB car charger for $1.16. I use their stuff in my home theater, and it's very good.
