I read a bunch of posts that people were getting the Froyo market pushed to their phones. Mine has yet to receive it. Is there anything people have done in order to get the new market?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think a new market is being pushed (new market means new OTA -- Froyo), I believe what you have read is that there is an installer for an updated market, which may be the market from Froyo, has some new functionalities, you may have to search through these forums and see if you can the .apk (installer file)

I was reading posts where people said they rebooted their phone, and they had it.

Here you go:
com.android.vending.apk
Put on sdcard and install with whatever, Astro, RE :)

I noticed last night on my wife's Fascinate (while installing K9 mail) that she had the updated (Froyo) Market on her phone. I can guarantee that she didn't install it...so, don't know how it got there. In any case, I didn't have it on mine.

I followed the above directions and now also have the newer version. Thanks for the post.

Yeah the deployment of the new market seems very random, some got it others haven't yet. I didnt wanna wait either so I went the manual method

What's the difference between a 2.1 market and a Froyo one?

I think the main difference is that you can update all apps instead of doing each one individually.
Yes a handy feature; just that and the layout. Comments now has its own tab:

Thanks for posting this. I got the new app through the OTA upgrade, but I inadvertently deleted it when I was trying to fix some apps that were stuck updating. (Incidentally, deleting the Market update fixed the problem.) Anyway, glad I can reinstall.
