Just got off the phone with local-ish BB, THEY HAVE IT!!!
Beware, your tracking info might be off. UPS showed it was still in NJ and the gals said her UPS truck just left there in Saratoga, NY. She confirmed it was there and I can get it after work!

WHAT A WEEKEND IT WILL BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To those out there waiting, they ARE COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, Joe. Unfortunately, mine updated to say it was in CA, but in Vernon and UPS doesn't allow for pick up unless a 1st delivery was attempted already. I am likely looking at Monday.

If it were USPS, it would still be possible tomorrow, since no Saturday deliveries in my area, for ups. FML

Tell UPS this is life or death regarding a Moto 360. I'm sure they'll understand and deliver it ASAP.

Moto 360 is out for delivery, will probably be at home waiting for me, while I'm at work!

Last night, I discovered that the band on the watch I bought (Spent $28 for the watch, just for the band...lol...so still cheaper than Motorola's cost for their leather bands, separately) has some pretty difficult springs to take out, so I may end up going to a jeweler anyway, to install the band on the 360. At least I can take off one of the links, just to measure fitment. If it ends up working, then I'll be set.

Congratulations!!! Let us know when it is on your wrist!!!
I'm telling you, I love every little thing about this watch.

I know this is silly, but it's the simple things, right?...
I'm teaching my kids about building their reading stamina and they are sent off to their reading spots to get started. I tell them that today we are shooting for five uninterrupted minutes of reading to self and tomorrow six. I then turn to my watch, "okay Google, set timer for 5 minutes" and BOOM, done!!! The kids were mesmerized that I basically ruined the nice quiet atmosphere I created to get them to read, but it was worth it. The simplicity of this device is fantastic, the looks are gorgeous, I love the comfort of the leather band (at least for these cool to cold months) and after selling my Gear 2 Neo, the price was really right!

I agree. It is the little things that make a difference. Case in point today at work: I didn't charge my phone last night because I forgot and use it as my alarm clock. So while charging my phone at my desk, i could freely walk all over the office floor and receive notifications. I was in the lunch room making coffee when I saw the notification of your response. Love the Moto 360!

Nice, Joe! Glad you're enjoying it. I will probably wear it with the leather band tomorrow, and then go during lunch, to see if a jeweler can manage to fit the different looking band that I purchased. If it doesn't fit, I found another band last night, that I purchased for $10, so we'll see if that one works better.

BTW, for those that are scared of getting a metal/ceramic/aluminium that is exactly 22mm, don't be. There's typically a bigger hole at the bottom of metal bands (where the band connects to the watch) that allows for access to the spring. The band that I currently have in waiting to install on the 360, is set up perfectly to fit (as long as the band's thickness is low enough to get into the connecting area on the watch).

Wise choice Drex! If you accidentally scratched it how could you live with yourself? Glad you're going to let a professional handle your smartwatch. However, don't let him/her talk you into leaving your watch. Watch the individual like a hawk watching its prey as the band is changed out!...LOL

Would you mind sharing either links or pics (or both, I'm greedy) of the bands you bought. I know it is just a matter of time before I get a metal band, so I'm keeping my eyes peeled. Thanks in advance and ENJOY!!!

Quite honestly, if the springs on the watch I bought (and will be using the bands from) were as easy to access as other watches, I would have DIY. I actually spent a good while last night trying, but whatever is being used in that watch isn't the traditional spring. I even removed a link myself, last night, so the band fitment is perfect.

I don't mind paying a few bucks to have a jeweler DIY. If I were swapping for a rubber or leather band, on another watch, definitely would DIY.

Man, I saw jewelers pop the spring out in about a minute or two with what looked like a miniature flathead screwdriver. The watch is machined where the band goes in the shape of a curve. This makes the band look like it's one continuous piece of leather when you look at it with the watch flipped over on its face. That curve and 22mm band makes it a little tricky to get to the rod/spring. The jeweler said he has never seen anything like that before and it looked really good. I'm glad you stopped fiddling with it. Just watch your jeweler and you'll easily be able to pop it out yourself.

Keep in mind, I was fiddling with a standard watch, not the 360...so, in normal circumstances, would've been a few seconds (I've done it on plenty of watches before). But, it got to a point where I was putting in too much time for something a jeweler will likely be able to do extremely quick. In fact, I may not even have them install the band. I might just do that myself.

That kid who dropped his iPhone 6. I would feel the same way he felt because I know I might scratch the watch with a miniature screwdriver... lol. I'll ask myself did I really just do that to my watch. Nooooo!

Oh, no, that kid would never be me...LOL I pretty much baby my devices and don't mind DIY's for many tech and car things. Only thing that sucks is having the knees of a 50 year old, while still in my mid-late 30's, so some DIY activities are now left to my mechanic and some of my relatives that are very DIY capable.

Speaking of that kid, was it a hoax? First I saw the video, my first thought was that it was staged and kept thinking it was staged.

Woohoo! Got my watch and they didn't send a black, like they did with others that had purchased grey. Already set up quickly. Thought it was charged long enough, but told me to charge after setup

    Congrats!

For you guys/gals with a phone that supports Quick Charge 2.0, Motorola has a charger for $35 that supports quick charge. I think a lot of us M8 owners have been waiting on HTC. I guess the new Motorola phones will be able to completely charge in 15 minutes according to Motorola. I ordered their charger for my M8.

    Thanks, Joe!

I gotta look through about conservation of battery life. I took it off the charger at 7:30am at 100% and am at 56% now. Granted, I was testing and trying a bunch of things after getting to work, but as long as I can get it to drain battery similarly to my Gear, then I'll be happy. Typically, my Gear would be at around 60% by the time I'd get home 12-14 hours of use during the work day. On that watch, I had as many notifications pushing to it as possible, but the battery life didn't bother me like it did many people.

We'll see how this watch does, once I've learned the ins and outs. Going to watch place at lunch, to see if they can make my replacement band work.

The battery stuff has me flustered. I'm at 72% and have been off charger since 8AM. All sorts of things pushed to it. Changed a few faces for my students and text many people. There's got to be an X-Factor.

Just went to the best buy in West LA they had a display for the watch but it said to ask for assistance. I asked an employee to see if they had stock, and he was telling me the little stock they received sell out quick. Thankfully he checked and they had 3 in the back in stock so I bought one !
