Where to get 'incompatible' apps from?

Hey guys,

I don't know about you, but I feel a bit screwed by the fact that Android Marked wont even show me apps that haven't explicitly stated that they're 'OK' to run on the smaller screen.

I want to use Google Voice, and a ton of other small apps I used to run on my G1. Where can I safely get them from? Is there some way to "override" Android Marketplace and just let me try apps?

Finally... I have an unlocked Tattoo, is there a way for me to force-upgrade my firmware to Android 2.0? I'm a developer so I can probably handle the technical magicks, but could you point me to a good source of info on this subject?

Thanks a ton I love the phone, but this app restriction is BS.

Thanks though, at least theres something out there available. Also, how do you get that app if i were to buy it? There is only like some 2d barcode thing, but the bar code scannong app is not showing up in the marketplace on tattoo :/ ???
