Trying to decide between three GB AOSP ROMs -- tried them all, but can't decide, so was hoping to get some opinions from you folks about which ones you prefer and why...

    SalvageMod vs VaelPak vs Decks

    Thoughts?

EvoDeck would be my third choice. I've used most of the AOSP ROMS and find that I like OMGB and CM7 (in that order) best. And, yeah, the Tiamat kernel seems to be the best AOSP kernel I've used. I think OMGB is the closest to vanilla android as you can get.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't include cm7 in that group because from everything I read here and other forums it seemed people have more bugs with that one than with the three I listed. Am I misreading that?

I have had more success with EVO Decks rom than Savage Mod. Running Decks now and the battery life is great with Tiamat kernel 4.06. Very fast too.

I flashed Savage Mod and had bootloop problems. (Yes, I did FULL wipes 3 times)
I am going to try Vael, CM7 and MIUI soon.

only issues i had were the gps thing (which as stated has a rather simple fix for those who experience it(and not all do)) and the stupid cant-update-the-prl-in-aosp-roms which is inherent with all aosp's

Of the 3 that you posted, I would go with deck's as it's the most up to date rom;)

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll give Decks another go. Question: I've never flashed a kernel before, is there one in particular I should use with decks? And anything else you advise when flashing kernels?

Well, I haven't used decks, but as stated above, tiamat is a damn good kernel for aosp.
