Root Which Root Method for Stock Rom? (no rom flashing required)

    Which root method is best if I do not intend to flash a rom with it right away? I just Odin'd back to stock and need to root to use Titanium Backup.

    One click root 2.5.5. If you are looking to flash a rom then you will have to root using 3.0.0.6, and you can do this right on top of 2.5.5:

    The big difference is that 3.0.0.6 coverts the file system over to EXT4 from RFS. Supposedly, it is faster than the stock Samsung setup.

    use gingerbreak. its an apk form now will just root for ya and its the root exploit used for gingerbread since they finally patched ratc
