which update is safe

    What is NOT safe to update after root..
    Firmware or HTC software??

    After you are rooted, you should not accept any otas to update anything.

    They can really knock your phone for a loop.

    you should go into menu/settings/about phone and I think htc update, and unclick it.

    It is safe to do prl and profile updates. I heard it suggested to do it in that order, too, for better 3g speed reasons.

    Not sure about firmware updates.

    Other updates, like the security one recently that dealt with ciq stuff, were covered earlier and better by our rom developers!

    yeah you should not do either of those. like dustwin said the prl and profile are the only ones you should update.

    (speaking of PRLs, has anyone had an update 'forced' upon them? Where you didn't initiate the update?)
