White Samsung Fascinate

So I don't see this posted anywhere on this thread so I figured I would post it.

White Samsung Fascinate and Sony Ericsson X10 joining Dell Streak in Best Buy this month -- Engadget

I don't personally care for it myself, maybe if the front bezel was white then I would like it better, but I don't care for just the back being white. I think it would be easier to get a new battery door, but that could be just me.

What do you guys think?

atleast we have more options now. It looks like it will be jsut a new battery cover. Hopefully they will sell the white backcovers for $5 on VZ website like they do the black ones.

Agreed, the front needs to be white as well, it looks off to me.

form the pic it looks like the front trim ring is also white, not just the back cover, but it's hard to tell from the fuzzy photo.

I saw bestbuy put out a facebook message about preordering but had a hard time finding a picture on their site. My thoughts are it looks just like the white cases they sell and you can easily turn your black SF into white by buying a case if you have a thing for white phones.

I would love to have an all white phone, I have always like white electronics, but I would not do the two tone like that. If they released it in all white, I would be all over it, but if I get me a Fascinate anytime soon it is going to be the black one.

My high gloss silicone case would cover up the white anyway so I don't care. I think it's stupid unless they make the entire phone white. I bought a sticker for my iPhone a couple years ago and it made the front and back look white...actually looked pretty good. Too bad there are capacitive buttons on this or that'd be an option...

Ooooo I like it. I hope they come out with the rear battery cover like they did with the incredible. That was one of the pros over the fascinate when I was deciding. Keeping my fingers crossed

The rim in the front is white, its not just the battery cover as some people claim. If ALL of the front would be white it would be an huge eye sore. So consider it a smart move to have frame of the screen black rather than white.

black is smooth. I could see a white back all messed up with nicks and such. It'd take away from the sexiness of it. Yeah I think my phones sexy.

I REALLY like it...But seriously, all I want is a white back cover...


Im actually thinking about just kryloning my case with the kick stand white. Its it doesnt look perfect, its not the end of the world...12 bucks is gone. Although I REALLY want some paint that wont chip or scuff or flake since the thing is gonna be beat up a bit.

I ordered a spare back plate that i'm going to paint soon. That should do the trick

Agreed and it being called white when its more of an oreo with one half of the cookie part removed.

I'm sure we ll see the white battery cover available soon for those who want to purchase it. I picked up the white one for my incredible and it was cool for a day or so, but I keep it in a black rubber case so you don't notice it anyway. If I had a transparent one I guess it would be worth it.

I think its kinda lame that the selling point is a white battery cover though. I doubt there were a whole lot of people out there not buying the fascinate because they wanted half of it in white.
