I don't use it personally, but it doesn't look like it can be used with the ps3 because you need the "server" part of the program running on your computer and there is no way you would be able to have that running on your ps3.

i use it and its a great app. very responsive. works good when i connect my pc to my tv to watch movies. about the ps3 question, no i dout it. unless u can download and run a .jar file on the ps3 then u cant use it. great app besides that tho

well remember on the older ps3's you can install linux on the system,so if your pretty good with linux i see no reason you couldnt do it from that. And as far as streamig media to the ps3 via computer use ps3 media server.

VLC player control would make this application awesome. I watch movies on my laptop with VLC. I'll try it out. Also, how far back, in feet, does the remote continue to work? Maximum distance between remote/Droid and computer?

Gmote is the nicest program I have used, and it uses whatever you have your default player set as.

As for the PS3... I think it is a lost cause. Serverside program is needed to run any of these programs. (Any that I have seen anyway.)

Just found this thread and RemoteDroid...just what I was looking for!

I used a BT remote app on my BB, but this works just as well over WiFi.

All it needs to be perfect for me is the ability to scroll up/down by dragging on the side of the screen. Five stars! :)

I'm using it. Watch a movie, and then shut down my PC all from the comfort of my own bed; works! :p

Remotedroid is more of a wireless mouse than a remote control, and that's its best quality. Offers you a touchpad and right and left click buttons, along with the option of pulling up the keyboard. A wireless mouse and keyboard wrapped into one.

    Great app

You can't pair the Droid with the PS3 via Bluetooth anyways.

I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and get this one. I've wanted to for a while, since I'm a lazy bum once I lay in bed and I hate having to go over to the computer to change things.

Can we use the Droid's dpad for any of these apps? It doesn't work in PhoneMyPC.

Would this work on the nintendo wii. I have gone over to my friends house and he has got on the internet with his wii and has to move his controller to type the letters. It is real sensative trying to type. It was wild being on the internet on his 56 inch HD tv. It would be cool if I could take my droid to his house and use the keyboard on my droid to type on his wii.

I assume like the PS3, it wouldnt work, BUT it never hurts to ask. I have been amazed reading some of the posts from people on how they have gotten somethings to work and some of the cool things they can do with their phones.

Excellent software! Lets me use my laptop to watch online video without having to get up to move the mouse. Another fine example of something I didn't realize I needed until I discovered it on these forums!

This was one of the reasons I wanted an android device to begin with. And now that I have it... it doesn't work worth a hoot on my fedora based mythbox. I haven't given it alot of work yet though.
