For some reason my stock music player and music mod was playing weird so i decided to power it down. When it came back on, a few of my icons I changed with desktop visualizer came back up with the android guy and question mark. Not sure why as the icons are still in my gallery. Any reason on why that would happen?

  2. everytime i turn my phone off, all of my icons/widgets that were made with DV are like that. It's gotten to the point where I avoid turning off my phone, because to put them all back is about 30 minutes and a PIA. I sent them an email and did a google search, it seems to be a known problem with no cure. I hate it. I wish there were another problem I could use that wouldn't do this!

so is the problem dv or lp? the other day when twitter and facebook updated, my lil droid icons was gone and it was the stock icons back (which i think i might have used better cut since they was regular size and not in my dock). weird

The problem stems from the SD card. Assuming your DV icons are png's stored on the SD card, when you restart your phone it has to re-scan the SD card for changes. If you move the images files from where they were when you created the icon, DV is referencing a path that no longer exists, so the icons will NO restore, and need to be re-created.

In my experience, if you let the media scanner run (should automatically at start-up), and wait a little while, the custom icon images will restore (as long as you didn't change their location on the SD card).

I wish there was an option to like....double-tap DV icons to change their icons. Would fix this problem as well as let us edit widgets/icons without having to create complete new ones.

    Hope this helps!
