So we now know that the incredible has video out, I was just wondering what you guys (maybe girls) think about this, and if youll use it and for what. I know I could definately use it, even though im kinda dissapointed its not 720p like the EVO.
    So, whats your take.

Depends. Maybe upload video to the phone and play it on a big screen but I'm not going to be carrying cables with me.

There is an optional accessory that plugs into the 3.5mm headphone jack, its just some RCA cables, standard Def. Sadly..no HiDef like EVO. :(
    But still, video out! :D

I would use the video out option. I will be interested in seeing what HULU looks like kicked out to my TV. Eventually when phones are shipping with HDMI out people will use the video out more and more.

I saw that over in the other thread but didn't see where to purchase or a link to them. Could someone post that info here? I would be interested in trying it out. Maybe sharing pics etc with family. Got a couple of other ideas how I can use it too!

Didn't even realize that there was a Video Out..... I would use this especially if it looks half way decent to watch Sunday ticket in otherr places then my own TV

I'll have to see how a video looks first

Hulu blocks mobile browsers - flash or not.

    Oh. Well, that sucks.

I do wonder what constitutes a 'mobile browser', though. Sounds like something that could be circumvented by a mischievous third-party app...

I'm sure a dev will get on it as soon as we see flash out and about. It might require root access though.

I can't imagine something that produces video from a 3.5mm headphone jack being something worth watching. Any examples out there of this being done?

I could use this video out. I record a lot of burnouts and drag racing so it would be great to replay those videos on a big screen tv! Would the video out work with youtube off of the phone?

However, Netflix is looking for a developer for creating an app to stream its stuff on the Android system, IIRC.

There's also some rumors that Hulu wants to make an app for Android.

You will see HULU and NetFlix on your mobile phone very soon. Your video out option will be very useful at that point.

I have tv-out on my first gen iphone (still using it till the 29th). I paid the premium $50 I think price for the cables and use it all the time. Well, more so when were traveling etc. Use if for the hunting shack since thats an old tube tv, and works quite well, same for the fishing trip we take at Lake of the Woods. The videos look very impressive on my Samsung DLP, and better on a LCD/Plasma.

I've ripped & converted A LOT of my favorite tv shows/movies from Hogans Heroes to House MD to Stargate SG-1 among a few and the videos look awesome even if its only in 480i etc. You just have to know the programs to use to make them look good on a tv. Making a tv show look good on your phone requires hardly any memory, where making the quality look good to use for tv-out requires extra memory space.
