Help Why am I in Chemnitz?

From time to time the phone thinks I'm in Chemnitz, when I'm really in Munich. I assume it's getting funky information (or perhaps funkifying the information) from Blau/EPlus mobile towers. Any insights into this? It usually figures things out eventually...especially once it gets a GPS fix.

The phone has consistently done this no matter the firmware version.

EDIT: I'm mostly just curious. I don't consider this a big problem.

What version of Android are you running ?? Just curious as I had the same type of behavior with 1.5. Since going to 1.6 it just remembers where I was last.

Yes this problem went away for me when I upgraded to 1.6 too.

I'm on Galaxo 1.6.3.1 + no sleep patch and it happened for the first time since 1.5.
