I've had my phone rooted for about a month and have been thinking about upgrading to gb, yet when reading through instructions that explain to wipe this, enter certain menus, format, etc....I found that I didn't have those options. So it seems I am not rebooting to CWM Recovery, instead I have been using the Android Recovery menu, which does not give me all the options in the CWM Recovery (I assume).

I am running CM6, I have ROM Manager installed and when I select the Reboot into Recovery option, I am taken back to the Android Recovery. I've tried searching for an answer, but being as late as it is, I'm just not finding anything.

So some help for this dunce would be greatly appreciated.

Ok when you open rom manager the top option is to flash recovery you have to do that. Also you might want to click on the change log for the latest build and out has some more info on cm7. Here is the link Main Page - ROMRepo
It gives you more info on some things to do

First go to the market and make sure your RM is updated, then open RM again and see if it also ask you to update, then flash recovery image again, then once done turn the phone off, then hold the volume down and end key at the same time for a few seconds, once prompted hit the home key to get into recovery, report back
